Ajay Gupta received a B.A. Degree from the State University of New York at Albany in 1988 while majoring in political science and minoring in communications. In 1991 he received his Juris Doctorate degree from the Detroit College of Law and has been licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan since January, 1992. He is a member of the Wayne County Probate Bar Association.

Upon his relocation to Michigan, Mr. Gupta was hired by the Law Office of Gary Howard as a law clerk in February 1989. He held that position until his graduation from law school where he accepted a position as an associate attorney with Gary Howard. In 1999 Mr. Gupta was named Partner by Gary Howard and the firm name was changed to Howard & Gupta P.C.

Mr. Gupta’s areas of practice include Probate Law, Real Estate Law, Bankruptcy Law, and Criminal Law. He is qualified by the Wayne County Probate Bar for court appointment as Guardian Ad Litem in Probate matters. Mr. Gupta is a member of the Southwest Detroit Business Association and the Southwest Detroit Improvement Association.
